How listings work
We're building a useful, accurate directory of local open mics and jam nights—and we want to be clear about where the information comes from.
Where listings come from
During our launch, we collect basic event facts from publicly available venue, organizer, and event pages. We write our own concise listing, link to the original source, and record when the information was last checked.
A publicly sourced listing does not mean the venue or organizer is affiliated with or endorses OpenMicCalendar.
What the status labels mean
We found and checked the event details on a public venue, organizer, or event page.
The venue or organizer has claimed the listing and confirmed its details.
Keeping recurring events accurate
Open mic schedules change. We periodically recheck publicly sourced listings and ask organizers to reconfirm recurring events. Listings we can no longer verify may be marked as unconfirmed and removed. One-time events are archived after their event date.
Claim, correct, or remove a listing
Venue owners and event organizers can claim a listing, submit corrections, or request removal at any time. Visitors can also report cancellations or inaccurate information.
